At HalliDog we don’t just look at one tiny aspect of a dog or a particular behaviour we want to address; we look at everything from nutrition, fulfillment, health, play and the relationship you already have with your dog. We also look at ways you communicate boundaries, structure and obedience skills with them and what you have success with and what you need help with. We also discuss what type of training and tools you’re already using and how effective they are.
For me, as a passionate dog owner and trainer, this includes utilizing things like marker words, body gestures, food, praise, slip leads, transitional leashes, muzzles, prong collars and, maybe my most favourite, an ecollar training system.
Why the ecollar you might ask?
Well, when used and taught properly to both the people and their dogs it can be used to have clear communication ON and OFF leash with your dog so they understand and respond to you in different environments. They get to have more freedom and experience new things with the ability to have reliable recall and be respectful with you and their environments!

Private Lessons
ON LEASH OBEDIENCE PROGRAM → Do you need to avoid high traffic times or certain areas because of lack of structure/control of your dog? This program is on leash walking lessons for those needing to create a healthier mindset and basic structure with their dog to no longer be pulled around by your dog. Owners will also learn how to confidently handle their dog in different social environments.
ON AND OFF LEASH PROGRAM → Off leash communication lessons to help you solidify your recall command with your dog around distractions. Let’s no longer be owners who can’t call their dogs back and need to hollar to others “don’t worry, my dog is friendly” as an excuse for them not coming back when called! Make dogs safer and slowly allow them earned off leash freedom - that starts with a healthy mindset, basic foundations, on leash skills and better impulse choices.
BEHAVIOURAL/REACTIVITY PROGRAM → Is your dog doing more than just pulling towards (or away) from something? Are they growling, barking, lunging, or “causing a scene” when out for a walk, in your car or your yard./home? Or, is your dog making other undesirable or unsafe choices, like jumping up, stealing things, biting, guarding, etc? If any of the this sounds familiar, this is the program is for you and your dog!
